Independence and freedom is one of the biggest blessing of God and no one can understand and realize its importance and significance other than those people who are kept away from this blessing. Pakistan is one of those sanctified countries in the world who have enlisted their names in the list of independent countries.

Freedom is the blessing of Allah and when it is in the form of an ideological state like Pakistan, then the blessing is a special endowment. Pakistan is no ordinary piece of land, it is sacred and it is founded upon the sacrifice and faith of Muslims. Spiritual support made it possible that against all odds Pakistan was created. Allah’s special blessings are the reason Pakistan stands today despite the relentless attempts of our enemies to undermine or even destroy it.

Pakistan is also called the second Madina because its creation followed the same pattern that was recorded in history when our beloved Prophet (PBOH) established a Muslim state in Madina; at that time Muslims migrated from Mecca, and in 1947 Muslims migrated from India.

Pakistan was created on the night of 27 Ramadhan. These are not coincidental but there are clear signs of a Divine plan. Jinnah thanked Providence when Pakistan was created. He knew very well that it was Divine power that made this country and that is also why he said, “ No power on Earth can undo Pakistan”.

Freedom leads to enhance expression of creativity and original thought, increased productivity, and overall high quality of life. The word freedom has a great depth of meaning. Death is the start of a mission and ends an endless life.

The freedom movement is the great motive that became the cause of Tahreek e Pakistan. To get freedom, the Muslims of India broke the chains of slavery and got their goal of Pakistan in a short period.

The creation of Pakistan was a unique occurrence in history. The circumstances were not in favour of the Muslim community but with courage, and faith, the downtrodden Muslims residing in the subcontinent were successful in actualizing their dreams of freedom.

In 1906, the All India Muslim League was founded and on October 1 of the same year, the first delegation of 36 Muslim leaders presented their demand to the Viceroy of India at Shimla for a separate state for Muslims. Finally, the great subcontinent of British India was partitioned into two countries of India and Pakistan on August 14, 1947.Concluding more, The long history of Pakistan, since its independence, is replete with ups and down. Therefore, there is a strict need of working hard day and night for the glory, supremacy, and success of Pakistan. As Quaid e Azam said, “ With faith, discipline, and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve”.

Pakistan’s Geographical Location: A Curse Or A Blessing – OpEd

Geography has shaped geopolitics for centuries and it has remained one of the most influential factors contributing to any state’s standing in the world relevance index. A state does not only rely on its geography, its economy. natural resources and population also contribute their part. Pakistan has a unique geostrategic position and shares its border with four states India, Afghanistan, China, and Iran. Pakistan lies in a region that can easily be regarded as the most complicated for regional and global geopolitics. An unfriendly India sitting on the East presents an existential threat, a porous and most difficult border with landlocked Afghanistan on the West, and an occasional issue-ridden border with Iran.

Since its birth, Pakistan has continuously faced an existential threat from India forcing Pakistan to spend on its security impacting national resources and making sometimes un-natural alliances. With three major wars with India and numerous skirmishes/ armed escalations, the breakup of East Pakistan into Bangladesh as a result of the Indian conspiracy proved the initial perception of existential threat a harsh reality. Despite being blessed with natural resources, all the terrains, intelligent and hardworking manpower, enterprising youth, and religiously influenced society, Pakistan has not been able to take off the way it was expected or deserved. All the positives and strengths that Pakistan enjoyed have been exploited in one form or another and transformed into a weakness by hostile states in varying time frames. This effort was supplemented by poor global media perception.

Geo-strategically, Pakistan is considered a gateway to Central Asia that connects the emerging power China to the Muslim world like Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Iran, and other states through the Arabian Sea. However, Pakistan’s social landscape started to turn sour after the Russian invasion of Afghanistan in 1979. Afghan jihad brought in militancy and madrassa culture giving rise to religious/ ethnic and sectarian frictions. Imperils of Pakistan’s rise are included a complex geostrategic environment, weak economy, governance challenges, dynastic politics, energy shortages, religious and ethnic segregation, extremism and intolerance in segments, and climate change. Unfortunately, military takeovers and mediocre civil leadership, mostly due to external factors denied the consistency and stability the nation needed for progression. The complex geopolitical milieu surrounding Pakistan has made it a critical piece of mosaic in regional and global interests, thus prone to the conspiracy by each external party furthering individuals and policies favoring them.

The existing challenge for Pakistan is to manage balancing ties between US/West and China/Russian camps. Off and on almost all Pakistani leadership clearly stated that it would not ally with any camp. Though, Pakistan’s geostrategic position has brought it closer to China, since it provides the quickest trading route via the Arabian Sea. China’s rise as an economic and regional giant is a reality. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and the CPEC project has the potential to open new avenues of socio-economic development and employment opportunities not only for Pakistan but also for the region. However, CPEC development brings with it an unwanted hostility cum interest of the West and US while energizing Indian plans against a nuclear Pakistan. Middle Eastern nations also prefer to maintain certain clout over Pakistan, historically using religious funding as a tool.

Despite all negatives, Pakistan has shown extreme resilience and potential par excellence. From producing world-level sportsmen, economic geniuses, noble winners scientists, doctors, diplomats, and artists, maintaining one of the best-armed forces, war aces to becoming the only Muslim nuclear-armed nation is by no means feats to be brushed away. Pakistan has been also actively contributing to international efforts for strengthening global norms on arms control, non-proliferation, and disarmament and follows the latest international standards on export controls, nuclear safety, and security at the national level. It is also the largest contributor of troops to the UN assisting in its mandate of global peace; so far more than 200,000 Pakistani soldiers have participated in 60 missions in 28 countries. Being Pakistan is not easy, not many nations in the world have the will to survive in such a hostile, complex, and fluid canvas which is mostly triggered externally. Pakistan has successfully defeated terrorism and restored peace in the country; the country paid price in blood and treasure; however, it depicts Pakistan’s resilience and commitment to peace. The geographical location, hence, has played its role, both as a curse and as a blessing, at times, but despite that, Pakistan needs to redefine its stance and focused more on its nation-building.

The factor of geographical location is meaningless unless the nation and its leader realise its importance. Even today, CPEC is good initiative but still maximum benefit is for Chinese companies. The 4-day Jashan Azadi ceremonies were being marked under aegis of Overseas Pakistani Commission District Multan and Young Pakistanis Organization. Director Multan Post Graduate College Mureed Hussain Malik chaired the session. Students from various institutes took part in declamation contests and got prizes on good performance. Before the independence the Muslims were having a nation but there was no separate homeland for them but now we do have a separate homeland but unfortunately now the nation has lost somewhere.

Freedom is a blessing, no matter whether it is geographical, Economical or Religious. Freedom plays an vital role in the development of the nations, society and individuals.

With the advent of the month of August, we see the fervor regarding the preparations to celebrate the Independence day, through out in our beloved country, Pakistan.

Proper measures are taken to celebrate the Independence day on government level as well as private sector. Independence day is a day to give thanks to God Almighty that He blessed us with a separate and independent country under the dynamic leadership of father of the nation Quaide-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. This is the day to pay tribute and remember all the sacrifices given for the freedom and existence of this beloved land without any discrimination of cast, creed, color or religion.

We should break the egotism and confess our mistakes. Change does not come from outside it come with the internal change through transformation, change in our behavior and attitude. We should follow the truth and love because truth is the path which leads us in right direction.

IMF: A BLESSING OR CURSE FOR PAKISTAN’S ECONOMY A CRITICAL ANALYSIS

Like other developing and least developed countries (LDCs) Pakistan also availing the funding opportunities from the world’s largest financial institution IMF (International Monetary Fund) since decades in order to get rid of poverty and for accelerating the economy growth. In this paper we will try to analysis whether the said financing proved helpful for the positive growth of the economy of Pakistan or it just add fuel to injury and played a vital role in enhancing poverty level instead of prosperity.

The International Monetary Fund is called a lender of a last resort for those countries who are in need of emergency bail outs. Countries faced bankruptcies as they exhausted all of their options hence the option left for them is to approach the IMF. The International Monetary Fund was originally founded on the idea of helping countries who were to finance their debts. This would have provided stability in the financial market, improve growth and reduce poverty. The objective of this study was to analyze the impact of IMF policies on the economic health of the Pakistan. The results suggest that IMF programs have increased external debt to GDP ratio, which in return increased debt burden on the economy. IMF policies led to increase in taxes, which induce inflation and lower growth. The results further concluded that structural adjustment programs affected negatively to the domestic economy. Due to IMF, economy has to achieve stabilization, which leads decline in growth. The decline in fiscal deficits through increase in taxes and reduction in development expenditure led to increase in unemployment and social decline. The devaluation of the currency increases inflation in the economy whereas reduction subsidies increase costs in the rural economy. As most of the agricultural inputs required subsidies so they are mostly effected by reduction in subsidies. The IMF program also increases pressure on external debt, which leads to acquiring of further debt in order to pay the previous debt. This accumulation of debt increases external debt to GDP ratio and increases the sovereign risk of a country. To come out of vicious cycle perpetuated by IMF prescription, Pakistan needs alternate solutions including overhaul of its export policy to boost export; aggressive privatization to curtail expenditure; floating of international bonds to build up foreign exchange reserves and invest agriculture, livestock and dairy sectors for inclusive growth.

Pakistan's relationship with the IMF dates back to 1958 but the association deepened with the structural Adjustment Program of 1988.Since then, our reliance has increased on the IMF. The Fund is still a major source of loans, required to bridge the fiscal gap. This paper is an attempt to determine the effectiveness of the IMF programs during the period 1988-2008, on the basis of Before-and-After Analysis of major economic variables. Based on this analysis, it can be conjectured that the IMF programs failed to achieve the desired objectives during the period 1988-1999.Analysis of potential factors responsible for worsening of economic variables during this period is also presented. However, during the period 1999-2008, major economic variables show improvement till the year 2007. This period is coincidently characterized by the economic boom at the global level that might have contributed towards improved economic variables. It is, however, difficult to empirically delineate the effects of boom and reforms undertaken as part of IMF conditionality. The paper also analyses the major components of the conditionality of the Fund and argues that austerity in public spending, devaluation, and monetary tightness etc may not deliver in every setting and country. Further, implementation of IMF conditionality may contribute to political instability, which in turn results in non-achievement of stated objectives of the Program. This is an interesting hypothesis and warrants further empirical research. In a nutshell, IMF programs show a mixed result in the case of Pakistan. They might have provided a temporary relief but failed to bring sustainable improvement in the economy. Political instability, harsh and standard type conditions of the Fund, and lack of ownership may be some of the potential culprits for the failure/less effectiveness of IMF Programs.

The International Monetary Fund is one of the major pillars of the post WWII Bretton Woods financial architecture. Although dealt a serious blow after the collapse of the fixed exchange rate system in the 1970s, change in global financial paradigms gave the IMF a new role in the 1980s as the principal lender to the developing world. The IMF's programs to these countries are criticized for being insensitive to the burden of their ‘conditionality’ and ‘structural adjustment’ places on the most vulnerable segments of society. This study uses Pakistan as a case study to verify the credibility of such criticisms and finds that they are not without merit. IMF conditionality has regressed economic conditions in Pakistan in general and for the poor people in particular. The study estimates the condition of Pakistan’s external debt using the three gap models i.e., Trade Deficit, Fiscal Deficit and Saving-Investment Gap. The main findings of the paper suggest that there are a number of financial problems in Pakistan’s economy, which have weakened the financial muscle of the country. The shortfalls are financed by external debt which is created severe negative impact on Pakistan’s economy. Pakistan has plenty of problems which have contributed to this aid and debt dependency. The financial crises started from 9/11 which forced Pakistan to be a key ally to United States. All this deteriorated economy by fiscal deficits, capital flight, decreased FDI and increasing trade deficits every year. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is the first governor general and founder of Pakistan. The name Pakistan was suggested by Chaudhry Rehmat Ali in 1933. He proposed the word Pakistan as a name for a new state by combining the first alphabets of its regions as Punjab, Azad Kashmir, Sindh and Baluchistan. Pakistan is an agricultural country which enjoys all the four seasons: summer, winter, spring and autumn season . The flag of Pakistan is green and white with the moon and stars. Green represents Muslims while white represents minorities.

The Salwar Kameez is national dress of Pakistan. Markhor is selected as a national animal and Chukar as a national bird of Pakistan.

The ideology of Pakistan is mainly the ideology of Islam . Pakistan is the 33rd wide state by area, covering 881,913 square kilometers.

Pakistan is a country where everyone is free to lead their life according to teaching of Islam and the sunnah of the Hazrat Muhammad ( Peace be upon him). Pakistan has provided all kinds of facilities to its people so that they can live as they wish and mold themselves into a good citizen and human.

صدیوں پہلے ہندوستان کے معاشرے میں اتنی برائیاں نہیں تھیں جتنی آج کے اس دور میں موجود ہیں۔ کبھی اس ملک کو سونے کی چڑیا کہا جاتا تھا لیکن وقت کے ساتھ ساتھ ملک کی حالت بہت ہی زیادہ خراب ہوئی جا رہی ہے۔ اسکی بہت ساری وجوہات ہیں۔ جو اس طرح سے ہیں۔

فرقہ پرستی آج کے دور میں سب سے بڑا مسئلہ ہے۔ اس کی جڑیں انگریزوں نے بوئی تھیں اور آج کے سیاستدان اس میں پانی ڈال کر اسے بڑا کر رہے ہیں۔ میرٹھ میں 1982ء اور 1987ء میں بہت بڑے دنگے ہوئے تھے اور 1991ء اور 1992ء میں بھی دو بار بہت بڑے دنگے ہوئے۔ ایسے بار بار دنگوں کا ماحول ہونے کی وجہ سے ہر طرف بی۔ ایس۔ ایف۔اور پی۔ اے۔ سی۔لگوانے کی وجہ سے عام لوگوں کو بڑی مشکلوں کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے۔

جہیز کی لعنت

ہمارے معاشرے کا سب سے بڑا مسئلہ جہیز ہے اور سب سے بڑی برائی بھی یہی ہے۔ جہیز کے لالچی لڑکی کے باپ سے بھاری تعداد میں جہیز مانگتے ہیں۔ جس میں کچھ روپیے، زیور، فرنیچر، اس کے علاوہ اور بہت سی چیزوں کے ساتھ ساتھ گاڑی موٹر کی بھی مانگ کر لیتے ہیں اور مجبور باپ کو جہیز دینا پڑتا ہے۔ کبھی کبھی تو ان کے منہ مانگی رقم یا جہیز نہ ملنے پر آئی بارات واپس لوٹ جاتی ہے۔ جس کی وجہ سے بیٹی کے باپ کی نظر معاشرے میں جھک جاتی ہے۔ شادی ہو جانے کے بعد بھی لڑکی کے سسرال والے کچھ نہ کچھ مانگ کرتے رہتے ہیں۔ اور مانگ پوری نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے اکثر بیٹیوں کو جلا کر مار ڈالتے ہیں۔

ہمارے ہندوستان میں ہر جگہ پر چاہے ریلوے اسٹیشن ہو یا بس اسٹینڈ، مندر ہو یا مسجد میلا ہو یا بازار ہرجگہ لوگوں کو فقیروں کی بھیڑ کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے۔ لوگوں نے پیٹ بھرنے کا سب سے آسان طریقہ بھیک مانگنا بنالیا ہے۔ ایسے اسمارٹ سٹی کا کیا فائدہ جس میں ہر جگہ پر اپنا پیٹ بھرنے کے لیے ایک فقیر کھڑا ہو۔

ہندوستان کی بڑھتی ہوئی آبادی

ہندوستان میں زیادہ تر گاؤں کے لوگ زیادہ سے زیادہ بچے پیدا کرتے ہیں اور کبھی لڑکی پیدا ہوئی تو لڑکے کے انتظار میں بھی بچے پیدا ہوتے جاتے ہیں۔ اس طرح خاندان کو آگے بڑھانے کے لئے بھی یہ لوگ زیادہ سے زیادہ بچے پیدا کرتے ہیں جس کی وجہ سے ہمارے ملک میں بہت تیزی سے آبادی بڑھتی جا رہی ہے۔

ہمارے ملک میں بنا پڑھے لکھے لوگوں کی تعداد بہت زیادہ بڑھتی جا رہی ہے۔ بہت سے لوگ اپنے بچوں سے کھیتوں میں کام کروانے کی وجہ سے انہیں اسکول نہیں بھیجتے۔ جس کی وجہ سے وہ جاہل رہ جاتے ہیں۔ ہندوستان کی صرف %40 ہی آبادی پڑھی لکھی ہے۔

مکان کا مسئلہ

کچھ شہروں میں رہنے کی بہت زیادہ پریشانی ہے۔ رہنے کے لیے مکان کا مسئلہ کچھ زیادہ ہی بڑھ گیا ہے۔ ہمارے ملک میں ہر سال 21 لاکھ سے بھی زیادہ لوگوں کو رہنے کے لئے گھر کی کمی کا مسلۂ درپیش ہے۔

بچوں کا خیال نہ رکھنا

کچھ گھروں میں میاں بیوی دونوں کام کرنے باہر جاتے ہیں تاکہ زیادہ سے زیادہ پیسہ کما سکیں۔ اس وجہ سے وہ اپنے بچوں کا خیال نہیں رکھ پاتے اور بچوں کی تعلیم و تربیت اچھے سے نہیں ہو پاتی۔ اسکول جانے کے بجائے وہ بچے ایسی ایسی جگہوں پر جانے لگتے ہیں جہاں انہیں کبھی بھی نہیں جانا چاہیے اور بری عادت بھی لگ جاتی ہے۔

ہمارے معاشرے میں تیزی سے برائیاں پھیلتی چلی جارہی ہیں۔ اگر ہمیں ان برائیوں سے لڑنا ہے تو ہمیں ہر جگہ علم پھیلانا ہوگا۔ کیونکہ علم نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے ہمارا ملک برائیوں کی طرف کھینچا جارہا ہے۔ جب انسان تعلیم یافتہ ہو جائے گا تو صحیح اور غلط کو سمجھنے لگے گا اور تب جاکر ہمارا ملک برائیوں سے آزاد ہوگا۔ ابھی بھی وقت ہے ہم سب کو ایک ساتھ مل کر معاشرے کی برائیوں کو ختم کرنا ہوگا۔

For the knowledge of the students, we are going to write an essay on the Winter Season in Pakistan. Pakistan is a blessed Country. It’s mostly cold in the regions of highlands and hot and humid in the tropical regions. And by the grace of Almighty Allah Pakistan is one of the countries that experience four Seasons Summer, Winter, Autumn, and Spring. The first one is the winter season which lasts from December to March. Then comes the season of beauty which is spring season which lasts from March to May. The hot season called summer lasts between May to September. Summer also comprises a moon-soon season with heavy rainfalls in a few regions of the country. Lastly in October and November, the people of Pakistan experience the Autumn season which bids adieu to all the previous leaves and branches of the trees and prepares themselves for the New ones. If we Talk about the Winter Season in Pakistan, cold Nights, chill breezes, short days, and long nights all are the perks of the winter season. In Pakistan, the winter season starts in December and ends in about March. People in Pakistan never see snow in the winter season. This season is characterized by heavy precipitation yet people enjoy this season. The Winter season is really enjoyed by the people of Pakistan as it brings bundles of joy along it.

The Winter season due to being cold affects the health of people. It causes flu and fever in children as well. So, the people cover themselves with jackets, cardigans, shawls, caps, and some thick stuff to protect themselves from the cold. But meanwhile, some people are maintaining their fashion game. Especially for the youth, they wore branded jackets, sneakers, and Bennie that make them look cool and stylish. That’s why most young people prefer winters over summers so that they can achieve their fashion goals. Enjoying coffee with their friends in the cafeteria of their institutes is one of their favorite leisure time activities in winter. Well, the winter season also brings other delights that could be enjoyed.

Firstly, the cardinal thing that people enjoy is dry fruits. The demand for dry fruits increases in this season. People are likely to purchase walnuts, almonds, dates, figs, cashews, pistachios, and many other varieties of dry fruits. Dry fruits are a vital source of minerals and vitamins and especially in the cold seasons they somehow help to maintain the body temperature of humans. But as the season approaches the price of dry fruits increases. People in Pakistan are mostly living below the poverty line and cannot afford such costly dry fruits so they prefer eating other food.

Fish is one of the selling foods in winter in Pakistan. Fish markets do good business in the winter seasons. It also becomes beneficial for the economy of the country. in Pakistan, fish is sold at affordable prices. But meanwhile, the production of fish increases, and a massive amount of fish is exported to different countries of the world in winter. The people living abroad love to eat the marine goods exported from Pakistan. This helps the country to earn a handsome amount of money from abroad. The income proves to be very effective for the economy of the country. Likewise, Fish has also been proven medically beneficial for human beings. They are rich in fatty acids that boost the immunity of the body, they help in the functioning of the brain, liver, and skin. Coal-roasted fish is especially for diabetic people. Well, fish is eaten by many people with love and proves to be beneficial for their physical fitness and health in the winter season. In Pakistan, there are 3 basic months which is considered highly cold. During these months in northern areas the ratio of snow increases. Pakistani people prefer to visit the northern areas like Murree and some others.

They roast their favorite meat on a broiler in the cold atmosphere and enjoy eating it while sitting outdoors in the cold breeze and cold weather.
